Based in Starigrad Paklenica at the foot of the Velebit mountains, we’ve spent years learning this part of Croatia that most visitors pass through on their way to Dubrovnik. These eight days are what I wish someone had shown me.

From the canyon walls of the Paklenica National Park to the 2,000-year-old olive trees on the island of Pag, every day is shaped by the place, the weather, and the people, not by a fixed schedule.
Morning fishing
Experience an authentic morning at the sea alongside local fishermen. Learn traditional fishing techniques, how to prepare your catch, and the best ways to cook and enjoy fresh fish.
Family farm day
Experience olive oil tasting and traditional bread-making on a working, family-owned farm. Learn about Croatia’s culinary heritage shaped by the harsh and unforgiving beauty of Croatia’s coastal landscape.
Island of Pag
Visit some of the oldest olive trees in the world, taste the famous “white gold” from the surreal salt pans of Solana Pag, and immerse yourself in the island’s raw, lunar landscape sculpted by the Bura wind.
Paklenica National Park
Spend a full day in the canyon hiking to the mountain lodge, exploring the underground bunkers from the Cold War era and swimming in the small pools of the Velika Paklenica river.
Photo safari
Spend a full day with a specialist photography guide in the heart of Velebit mountains. Witness autumn colours and dramatic peaks of the Croatia’s highest mountain range – a photographer’s paradise.
Krka National Park and wine tasting
