Croatia the way locals live it

Eight days. Eight people. 100% local experience.

WHO THIS IS FOR

An experience, not a holiday

This tour is for people who have been to Croatia, or anywhere, and come back feeling they only scratched the surface. Those who want to sit at a table with a fisherman, not photograph them from a boat. Those who find the back roads more interesting than the front cover.

Based in Starigrad Paklenica at the foot of the Velebit mountains, we’ve spent years learning this part of Croatia that most visitors pass through on their way to Dubrovnik. These eight days are what I wish someone had shown me.

01

Curious travellers, not tourists

You want stories and context, not a checklist of sights.

02

People who eat well and seriously

Food here is an event: fish caught that morning, bread made by hand, olive oil you watched being pressed.

03

Active but not extreme

We hike, we swim, we walk. You don’t need to be an athlete. You just need to be curious.

04

Travellers who value the shoulder season

September and October: warm water, golden light, no crowds. This is Croatia at its best.

WHAT TO EXPECT

A lifetime of stories in eight days

From the canyon walls of the Paklenica National Park to the 2,000-year-old olive trees on the island of Pag, every day is shaped by the place, the weather, and the people, not by a fixed schedule.

Paklenica National Park

Spend a full day in the canyon hiking to the mountain lodge, exploring the underground bunkers from the Cold War era and swimming in the small pools of the Velika Paklenica river.

Photo safari

Spend a full day with a specialist photography guide in the heart of Velebit mountains. Witness autumn colours and dramatic peaks of the Croatia’s highest mountain range – a photographer’s paradise.

Krka National Park and wine tasting

Conclude your journey with a walk among the spectacular waterfalls of the Krka National Park, followed by a tasting of local wine, a fitting finale to eight unforgettable days in Croatia.
